Scavenger Hunt Thoughts

The scavenger hunt class activity was fun and interesting using the internet to find certain things such as a full itinerary to go to Disney land to finding Professor's Fry's sister's last name. It is amazing how one can find so much information from general to extremely private if one knows how to use the web. I thought it was a good exercise especially finishing it in a certain amount of time. Normally Professors give the whole class period which is more than enough time, our Professor gave us 30-40 minutes to keep it exciting. Scavenger hunts can be either super boring or fun since one can lose interest easily. It was good practice for the real world to multi-task and to finish everything at a certain time. It was also very nice to work with another classmate in class to finish the scavenger hunt since this is a technology based-class one thing I did not want to assume is that everyone is anti-social because of the class. At the end, it was fun and engaging. When Professor Fry was saying to find his middle sister’s last name, I quickly went on his Facebook page, by the way it was not private so I was able to look at all his friends. I was looking through all his posts since family members always tag each other in photos and had resemblance to each other as well. Other than that, I realized how well connected Professor Fry is to many organizations so it crucial to ask him about internships or any upcoming opportunities.
